Where to Find Coupons

Most of you know about the coupon inserts that come with the Sunday Paper.  Call your local paper and check to see if they add inserts in their paper.  My local paper does not but the Sioux Falls paper does.  Plus they have a weekender only subscription available too so that I wouldn't need to get a full subscription if I had no intention of reading the paper.  Those are great things to check out.  But personally it doesn't work for me.  I hate to waste all of the paper that I will not be reading.  And the paper doesn't come with all of the available inserts every week.

Friends, family, and neighbors can be a valuable source of coupons.  They may get the paper but never use their coupons so if they know you are they'd probably happily save any coupons they come across!  Ask away, they aren't giving up anything they wouldn't be throwing away anyway :)

You can order full inserts!  This is what I have done in the past and it works for me.  I have gotten away from doing it and I always cringe when I visit Krazy Coupon Lady and they have an awesome sale that I am missing out on!  You can order a subscription for the number of inserts you want and they send them to you automatically or you can order only the inserts you want.  Here are a couple websites where you can order inserts and check out the Sunday coupon insert schedule:  Whole Coupon Inserts, Sunday Coupon Inserts and Hot Coupon World.

You can also order coupons individually if you find a great deal with a coupon match.  here are a couple sites where you can order coupons individually:  The Coupon Clippers, Coupon Dede's Clipping Service, and Our Clipping Service

Store leftovers are also a great place to check.  If you have smaller stores in your area they may have extra inserts that will go in the trash from the papers that didn't sell!  Some might be happy to save them for you and help a lady out :)  No harm in asking around!

Your recycling Center may allow you to come in as well and go through paper bins to see what you can find there.  I've always thought this would be kind of fun from when I've seen it on the show Extreme Couponers!  I'm afraid our recycling is shipped to another town so this is not an option for me personally.  But if you do go in and ask and your recycling center is down for it.....   then I need some pictures so I can live vicariously through you.  Can you imagine how many coupons are in those paper bins?

There are also printable coupons available.  You can only usually print 2 of these at a time  and expire shortly after the print date so I don't recommend you print them until you are ready to use them.  When I am going through my ads and comparing them to the coupons I have I finish off by looking up some of the good deals from the ads against Krazy Coupon Lady's printable coupon database.

Check your local library to see what they do with the coupon inserts from the papers they get in!  Some libraries also have coupon swap boxes.  Leave the ones you won't use and take the ones you will.  If your library does not do this, they might if you ask them.   Some good things are ideas that just haven't been brought to proper attention!

Do you have any great secrets for getting those money saving coupons?
